Festival fun in Key Stage 1 has been great!
Last week, we recognised World Mental Health Day. We all wore yellow to raise awareness about mental health. We drew things on a yellow love heart that are important for our mental wellbeing. We took time to have hot chocolate with our friends and chat.
It was 'Super Day' at Dallimore to celebrate our new school rule!
We loved trying on a real wedding veil, and holding a real bouquet of flowers just like in the story, the Scarecrow's Wedding.
We loved dressing up as something 'Super' to celebrate everyone being SUPER in their own way.
The 'Bee Man' came to visit us in assembly.
Y5 Nottingham University Visit
On Wednesday, Y5 visited Nottingham University for an Astronomy Day.
While we were there, we learnt about galaxies, the Solar System and even got to experience the ‘Inflativerse’.
We also had a Q&A with current university students, where the children asked great questions about university life, budgeting and societies!
We finished the visit with a walk around campus and saw the Students’ Union, George Green Library and Physics Building.
It was Outdoor Week at Dallimore and Y5/6 enjoyed lots of activities!
We lit fires (and learnt about fire safety), played golf, skateboarded and went on a walk to Pioneer Meadow.
We also had a very competitive game of rounders!
Both Dragonflies' and Ladybirds' Class enjoyed their activities during Outdoor Week. They planted flowers, played on the field, went on balance bikes and visited the school forest!
Reception had a great time during Outdoor Week! We went on a walk around the local Nature Reserve, had a dance session with Moves with Matilda, went to the local park, and found animals in our school forest!
