Week 17 Day 5 THE LAST DAY

17 weeks ago I started my first post with this:
‘So there we are- it is with great sadness that we close school for most pupils until we receive the all clear’.

That seems so long ago and what a roller coaster it’s been!
There have been ups and downs, tears and laughter but most of all there has been a real sense of community and some unbelievable acts of kindness.

It has been difficult for all of us at times but the kindness, encouragement and love you have shown has got us all through.
I can honestly say that in my 27years of teaching that this has been the hardest 4 months BUT it has also been the proudest.
The staff have been amazing, the time and effort that many of you have put into engaging with the home learning activities has been brilliant but most of all- the the kids who have been in school throughout, or been in contact their teachers, have shown interest, enthusiasm and creativity.
What absolute stars your children are!

So, it is with sadness that we close school for summer break without having a chance to say a ‘proper’ good-bye to the year 6 pupils (and one or two others who have left) and staff who leave us.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a relaxing summer break and, all being well, we will see you all in September.
There may be some more updates coming towards the end of the summer but if you need anything at all please message and we will do what we can get back to you (maybe not straight away).

Thank you for your support.

Much love, stay safe and be kind.

Mrs C (and Ruby of course)
Xx

Attached is a map of where classrooms are located ready for your return in September.
Please use the gates and paths as shown.
As a reminder - where there are siblings in both KS1/Reception and KS2 then you should choose the best route.

No bikes or scooters will be allowed until we have ensured the arrangements for entering and leaving the site are effective.

Tomorrow our stone snake will be moving into the school playground area. We will be keeping this and would still welcome any additions.
You will be welcome to add to this when the children return to school in September- a little project for the summer break!?
Thank you to everyone who has contributed - it has been lovely to watch you come down and place your stones.
Thank-you

A massive thank you to Mr Staniforth, Mr Edwards and Mr Gotheridge for grafting all day to transform our garden area. This was funded through the Tesco Bags of Help initiative. Looking great.
