What a busy week!

We have had a lovely week in Reception – lots of great learning taking place.

Our book has been “The Gruffalo’s Child” and the children have done some great pictures of woodland animals. We had a go at labelling them and many children were able to write the first sound of some words.

In maths we have been learning to count sets of objects carefully – trickier than it sounds! We also had great fun learning to make repeating patterns.

Mud kitchen was good this week – Gruffalo soup!

The children love the balance bikes and several children have now progressed to the pedal bikes – well done!

Next week our book is “Superworm”  The children are going to sequence the story and have a go at writing a simple sentence with adult help.

In maths we are going to continue with recognising and ordering numbers. Most children have taken a pack of numbers home to practise with – please spend a few minutes a day doing these as well as reading with your child.

Have a good weekend everyone – see you all on Monday
